Langston Freestyle: The Return of the Quiet Kids

When I made Langston Freestyle, I wasn’t just trying to rap well — I was trying to echo something bigger than me. This track is a shout-out to the kids who grew up journaling instead of joking. It’s for the ones who paid attention in English class. The ones who felt like outsiders until they picked up a pen.

Langston Hughes wasn’t just a poet. He was a truth-teller. A vibe-setter. A cultural architect. That energy is what I wanted to channel — Black thought that cuts deep and still floats smooth.

I kept the beat soulful and open, so the words had room to breathe. Every line is layered. This wasn’t about punchlines — it was about purpose.

If you’ve ever felt like your thoughts were too loud for your voice, this one’s for you.

Here’s to making the quiet kids unforgettable.

Peace, Ty
